This website is operated by the Florida Keys History and Discovery Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which operates the Florida Keys History & Discovery Center in Islamorada, Florida. We may update these terms from time to time; the version posted on this page applies to your use of the site.

We work hard to keep the information on this site accurate — hours, admission, exhibit details, historical content, and program information. History is a living field, and museum research continues: some content reflects the best available research and may be revised as our understanding grows.

Website content is provided for general information and is not legal, tax, or financial advice. Please confirm current hours, admission, and event details with the Center before planning a visit. Information about charitable giving is general in nature; consult your own advisor about the tax treatment of any contribution.

Member-area content is a benefit of Center membership and is intended for members and their households. Accounts are created by you and activated by our staff. The Foundation's name, logo, exhibit photography, and the text of this website belong to the Foundation or are used with permission. You are welcome to share links to our pages and to quote short excerpts for personal, educational, or press use with attribution. Other reproduction or reuse — including images from our exhibits and historic photo gallery — requires written permission from the Foundation or the credited source.

Historic photographs shown on this site remain the property of their credited archives and are presented here for educational purposes with credit. Please contact the credited institution directly about reusing those images.

For convenience, we link to partner organizations, funders, archives, and related resources. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination site.

Membership purchases and contributions arranged through the Center are governed by the terms described on the membership and giving pages, including the non-deductible nature of membership purchases and how recognition works for donors. Payments are currently arranged by phone, mail, or in person; we do not collect card numbers through this website.

To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, the Foundation is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of this website. This limitation does not apply where it would be unenforceable under applicable law.
